4. Description: Overhaul and refurbishment work. Building alteration work. Nottingham City Homes invites you to tender for the Provision of Refurbishment and Alteration Works to Sheltered Housing and Adult Services sites. Works will take place across a number of sites citywide and will include general building work, mechanical and electrical alterations, decorating, improvements and alterations to domestic dwellings (Sheltered housing) and Adult Services sites (Residential accommodation and other day services offered to the public). Some sites will also require extensions and alterations to existing buildings to include the forming of new bedrooms / wet rooms etc as required.

The tender documents include:

A) Fenton Court Schedule of Works:

This sheltered housing site requires some minor alterations to communal areas and also the forming of a new main entrance.

B) General Schedule of Rates:

Tender submissions must also include all priced items within the schedule of rates and this schedule will form the basis of agreed rates that will then be applied to all other sites as details are released.

Both the Schedule of Works for Fenton Court and also the accompanying General Schedule of Rates (to be applied across all other sites), must be fully priced as part of the tender submission and all rates shall be on a fixed price basis up until 31st March 2014.

It is expected that works to Fenton Court will start week commence w/c 10th June 2013 with other sites being rolled out accordingly. The contract will run for one year with the option of extending this for a further two years until 31st March 2016 upon agreements of both Nottingham City Homes Ltd and the Successful Contractor. It is anticipated that the potential indicative value of the works in year one (June 2013 to 31st March 2014) will be approximately 1.9 million pounds. This includes approximately 1.0 million pounds allocated to sheltered housing works and the remaining 900,000 allocated to Adult Services works.
