II.1.4) Short description: EEM are conducting this tender exercise on behalf of its members to establish a framework for Asbestos Surveys / Air Monitoring, sampling and analysis of possible asbestos containing materials and Works for the Removal of such materials and Reinstatement of disturbed areas for properties within their estate.The successful Contractors will be expected to conduct the services provided through this framework to domestic properties, commercial properties such as offices, schools and sheltered schemes and any other building owned and/or managed by our membership.

II.2.14) Additional information: Efficiency East Midlands Ltd (EEM) is a `not for profit┐ consortium set up to generate cashable and non-cashable efficiencies for its membership through collaboration, aggregated volumes, quality products and high level of service delivery. The company is owned by the membership and strategically driven by a Board comprising of seven directors and four co-optees.
EEM was formed in 2010 with five founding members, all housing providers determined to reap the benefits of collaborative procurement. Our membership has now grown to 56 core members with an aggregated housing stock of over 732,000. EEM believe that the services and frameworks offered can be easily transferred to the wider public sector. Therefore future members may also include organisations providing services for the wider public sector such as NHS hospitals, Police Forces and the Prison Service.
EEM are also keen to support and work collaboratively with other procurement consortia. Westworks Procurement Ltd and Advantage South West are full members of EEM and therefore their current and future members are able to access this Framework.
